Important Update about Underlying Auto Attachment Points

We are grateful for your input regarding the changes we have made to our Personal Umbrella product. As a result of your input, we are excited to let you know we are lowering our attachment points for the underlying automobile requirement.

Effective February 24, 2020:

  • In Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia, we will be able to offer our admitted product for most of our Preferred and Standard business with a minimum attachment point for the underlying automobile at $250,000/$500,000/$100,000
  • If these underlying limits are chosen, the maximum limit we will offer on our admitted product is $1 million
  • If higher limits are desired, the underlying automobile attachment point will need to increase to $500,000/$500,000/$100,000 or $500,000 combined single limit
  • This change will also go live in North Carolina on March 23
  • Renewals for CO, IN, MI, NJ, OH and VA will go live April 15
  • Renewals for CT, MN, PA will go live April 25
  • Renewals for NC will go live May 13

There will be no changes to our High Risk business in the above states
