We would like to take this time to remind you that our underwriting guides prohibit the binding of any new business that includes property or inland marine or the increasing of any property or inland marine limit on an in-force policy written near an imminent catastrophe. Currently, there is potential for serious loss from a number of fires currently burning in northern and southern California, Colorado, Oregon and Washington.

Binding restriction currently in place for Grizzly, Pine Gulch and Lake Fires remains in effect until the prohibition has been lifted.

In keeping with our guidelines, it is not permissible to bind United States Liability Insurance Companies business that includes property or inland marine or the increasing of any property or inland marine limit on an in-force policy written located within the fire zone, as well as any risk located within 25 miles of a mandatory evacuation zone or active fire line.

During this period, we will accept binders for all renewals at the limits and terms in our renewal quote.
