Devon Park Specialty’s Errors and Omissions, Media and Privacy (EMP) product targets a broad range of miscellaneous professionals and technology companies with up to $500 million in annual revenue. EMP is now offering the following coverages.

Higher limits for existing coverages:

  • System failure: $5 million limits
  • Dependent business interruption: $5 million limits

New coverages available via endorsement:

  • Bricking/Hardware replacement costs
    • Replaces computer hardware damaged as a result of a security breach
    • Now included in our privacy breach expense coverage, with limits up to $5 million available
  • Cryptojacking/Utility fraud
    • Covers the utility expenses when an insured’s system is hacked and used for mining cryptocurrencies (e.g., Bitcoin)
    • Included in our telecommunications fraud coverage, with limits up to $500,000 available
  • Voluntary and intentional shutdown
    • Provides business interruption coverage for a voluntary shutdown of computer systems during a security breach
    • Limits up to $5 million available
  • Criminal reward
    • Provides a fund for information leading to the arrest of a criminal who causes a covered claim or cyber event
    • Limits up to $100,000 available

As a reminder, we also offer invoice manipulation coverage, which covers insureds when their clients or vendors are tricked by hackers into sending payments to a third party for services rendered by the insured. This coverage is included in our base form as part of our social engineering fraud coverage, with limits up to $500,000 available.
