USLI Nonprofits: How to Classify

Working in the office looking at documents

Nonprofits can be hard to classify. USLI can consider over 500 classes that cover a wide range of nonprofits including social services, sport leagues and fundraising organizations. It may be difficult to determine what class a nonprofit falls under due to the vast array of services and activities of these organizations. Below is a brief summary of our products and the classes that fall within these products:

Arts and Culture: Theaters, Performing Arts/Musical Groups, Art Galleries and Museums and Libraries

Charities and Business Associations: Chambers of Commerce, Parent/Teacher Organizations and Booster Clubs, Business Membership Groups, Professional/Trade Associations, Charitable/Fundraising Organizations and Support Groups

Community Associations: Homeowners Associations, Condominium Associations, Cooperatives and Townhome Associations

Houses of Worship: Churches, Ministry Groups, Religious Prayer Groups, Mosques, Temples and Synagogues

Sports Advantage: Youth and Adult Sports Leagues (including practices, competitions and tournaments), Camps/Clinics for a number of sports including Baseball, Basketball, Flag Football, Golf, Tennis and many more

Social and Human Services: Halfway/Transitional Housing, Youth and Community Centers, Group Homes, Counseling, Caregivers (non-medical), Food Banks, Soup Kitchen, Thrift Stores and many more

Social, Fraternal and Civic Clubs: American Legions, Masonic Lodges, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lions Clubs, Knights of Columbus, Social and Recreational Clubs

Excess and Umbrella: We can provide excess and umbrella coverages with underlying carriers that have an A.M. Best rating of B++ or better (social service residential and animal rescues/shelters require USLI as the underlying)
