Binding Prohibition Lifted: Smokehouse Creek Fire

We have expanded our binding prohibition. Please see below for the complete list of counties included.

Our underwriting guides prohibit the binding of any new business that includes property or inland marine or the increasing of any property or inland marine limit on an in-force policy written near an imminent catastrophe. These rules will remain in force until notice is given that the prohibition has been lifted.

There is potential for serious loss from the Smokehouse Creek Fire and Windy Deuce Fire in Texas. Effective immediately, all requests in Potter, Carson, Hutchison, Hemphill and Roberts counties, any risk located within 10 miles of a mandatory evacuation area and any risk located within 10 miles of an active fire line should be referred to your underwriter for a binder or increased limits.

During this period, we will accept binders for all renewals at the limits and terms in our renewal quote. We trust that you will be safe, and we thank you for your attention to this matter.
