Trends as States Reopen

As society looks to find a sense of normalcy and states begin to reopen with caution, nonprofits are looking to restart their operations in a modified fashion. According to Fidelity Charitable, 25% of people said they will donate more, and 54% said they would continue their contributions to nonprofit organizations, highlighting the resilience of the sector as a whole.

Communities hardest hit by the pandemic will rely on local nonprofits to bounce back through fundraising, community outreach, financial aid and other services rendered. With all that said, there are opportunities to write new business.

Based on how states are reopening, we see the following classes as opportunities to write more business:

  • Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or similar group counseling
  • Business associations
  • Charities
  • Community outreach organizations
  • Food banks
  • Fundraising organizations
  • Grant writing organizations
  • Halfway houses for substance abuse
  • Houses of worship
  • Shelters
  • Sports associations
  • Trade associations

We will continue to see new growth within the nonprofit sector. Please note that all nonprofit products can be quoted over the phone or online. You can email any application (ACORD or competitor’s application) to [email protected] or to your underwriter.
