Effective immediately, the property binding restriction in place for Hurricane Idalia has been lifted in these Florida, Georgia and South Carolina counties:

Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Columbia, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Lake, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Marion, Sumter, Suwanee, Union

GEORGIA
Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Berrien, Brantley, Brooks, Bullock, Charlton, Clinch, Coffee, Cook, Decatur, Echols, Effingham, Evans, Grady, Long, Lowndes, Pierce, Screven, Seminole, Tattnall, Thomas, Ware, Wayne

SOUTH CAROLINA
Berkley, Colleton, Dillon, Dorchester, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Jasper, Marion, Williamsburg

Because our policies are effective at 12:01 a.m. at the mailing address of the named insured, you should not accept any binder for a risk located in the above locations with a date prior to August 31, 2023.

As a reminder, our binding prohibition did not extend to renewals. We will honor the terms we quoted. Because your customers may have offices closed, loss of phone, etc., make sure you refer any renewals that are requesting backdate to your underwriter.
